Gala Premiilor Gramy a fost amânată e două ori din cauza pandemiei de coronavirus, dar iată că a treia oară a fost cu noroc. Gala s-a ținut aseară, în condiții de maximă siguranță. Beyonce a fost nominalizată la nouă categorii la Premiile Gramy și a primit patru dintre premii la categoriile interpretare R&B (“Black Parade”), pentru cel mai bun videoclip (“Brown Skin Girl”) şi pentru colaborarea cu Megan Thee Stallion la piesa “Savage”, recompensată la categoriile cea mai bună piesă rap şi cea mai bună interpretare rap.

Beyonce a fost extrem de emoționată în momentul în care a primit premiul pentru interpretare R&B.

„În calitate de artist, consider că este datoria mea, datoria noastră a tuturor, să reflectăm epoca în care trăim”, a spus ea, adăugând că doreşte să-i susţină şi să sărbătorească activitatea tuturor artiştilor de culoare care au inspirat-o şi care inspiră lumea întreagă.
